Tutorial - Pad Printing Ink Cup Ring and O-Ring Installation & Removal

The scraping efficiency and print quality in pad printing heavily depend on the precise installation of the ink cup ceramic ring. Tools & Materials Required:

• Steel Plate & Thick Cloth: Used as a workbench cushion to protect ceramic rings and plate surfaces from scratches or impact.
• Flathead Screwdriver: For carefully prying and removing the ring and sealing O-ring.
• Ink Cup Assembly: Ink cup body, ceramic ring, and rubber O-ring.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

I. Ink Cup Ring & O-Ring Installation Steps

1. Pre-inspection: Before installing the ring, inspect the cutting edge for chips or defects to prevent improper ink scraping or streaking during operation.
2. Assemble Ring and O-Ring: Align and stack the rubber O-ring with the ceramic ring, checking proper direction and fit.
3. Press into Ink Cup: Place the aligned assembly onto the ink cup opening. Apply even downward pressure with both hands from the top of the ink cup.
4. Check Alignment: Carefully verify that the ring and O-ring are fully and evenly seated in the groove without tilting or misalignment.

II. Ink Cup Ring & O-Ring Removal Steps

1. Prying Off the Ring: Carefully insert the flathead screwdriver into the gap between the ink cup body and the ring, then gently leverage it out.
2. Removing the O-Ring: Insert the screwdriver along the inner edge of the O-ring, pry it up, and gently pull it out from the groove to complete disassembly.
